This month marks one year of my monthly Book Recs! Never did I imagine that it would ever become a monthly thing but with all the love, support, and friends I've met along the way, here I am ONE year later. Even though I always went to the library growing up and in my teen years, I never really did much reading besides Magazines, Cookbooks and the occasional Chicken Soup for the Soul book. After having kids and taking them to the library on a regular basis I found my niche of books I enjoyed and it grew from there. Once we relocated to a new state and went to our local library in our new town it blossomed even more. Our library has the best displays, events and there is always good book recommendations. I then started to share my current reads, library hauls and sharing my own recs with friends, it became bliss from that point on. Book Lovers nationwide loved my recs just as much me! You guys are my kind of people! Thank you all!
During this time of year there is always so many good Holiday Romance Novels, Cookbooks and Mysteries it makes it so hard to decide just a few. I read more during Holidays as well. It's my constant. When everything else in my life is going full blast, a good book helps me slow down and disconnect for a bit.
Like I've said before, Lucy Score has became a new favorite Author of mine. At this point, if you are into romance and comedy, there is not one of her books that you won't love,
with it being December these books seemed very fitting.
*Mr Fixer Upper and The Christmas Fix.
Even though Mr Fixer Upper isn't a Holiday Book,
it does stem off of The Christmas Fix. I recommend reading them in that order. Both of the books fall together perfectly or stand alone.
All you have to do is find a sliver of time for yourself, grab a drink and indulge. You won't want to put down these books down until they are finished.
